Orange Beef

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef top round, cut into thin strips (stir fry cut available in most markets)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ginger, chopped
  • 14 oz Manischewitz® Beef Broth (1 can)
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
Preparation:
  1. Mix beef with 1/4 teaspoon garlic and the sesame oil, then toss with cornstarch and marinate in refrigerator for one hour.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat oil over high heat and stir fry marinated beef in oil until browned and crispy.
  3. Remove from pan and drain if necessary.
  4. Using same pan, over medium heat, sauté remaining garlic and ginger for 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Add Manischewitz® Beef Broth and simmer 3 to 5 minutes.
  6. Mix orange juice, soy sauce, orange zest and cornstarch together; add to broth, bring to a boil and simmer 1 minute.
  7. Toss beef in sauce mixture and serve with your favorite vegetables and rice.
